Description

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Integration Design Developer specializing in MuleSoft to provide integration services to our clients. The selected candidate will join the Enterprise System Integration business line, which is focused on providing integration services delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines. The candidate shall possess strong middleware, data analytical practices and various technical skills to work with our clients to design, develop, test and implement core integration solutions. They must have strong project execution capabilities, possess strong technical leadership and collaboration capabilities, excellent communication skills, be focused on continuous improvement and integration innovation, and have a strong attention to detail while delivering high quality work to our clients.

This individual contributor position will work with other team members to execute a variety of middleware solution related activities on system integration projects for 1898 and Co. clients. The position will design, develop, test and implement middleware solutions to our clients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, industry best practices, and continuous improvement.  

Apply industry experience and best practices to design, develop, and implement integration solutions to support complex business requirements.

Apply knowledge and expertise of current and emerging middleware/integration technologies to develop and deliver quality enterprise solutions in both Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) domains to meet client objectives.

Serve as integration / middleware design and development resource on projects executed for electric transmission/distribution/generation/municipal government, airport and facilities industries.

Meet and work with 198 and Co.’s business analysts and clients to translate business requirements into enterprise integration solutions.

Assist with preparation of enterprise integration solution project documentation including but not limited to; development of functional and technical specifications, technical approach, testing specifications and implementing technical solutions into an execution environment.

Review other designers and developer’s documentation for standards and best practice principles

Use middleware experience and knowledge to provide input and influence project execution processes and quality assurance/quality control protocols.

Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required

Minimum of 2 years if substituting for degree requirement

Minimum of 1 year experience providing middleware/integration and data transformation solutions and services using MuleSoft.

Middleware Integration skills including data analytics, cloud, and other architecture methods preferred.

Comfortable working within a fast-paced, collaborative, Agile/Scrum project environment.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.

You’re versatile and passionate about delivering the highest caliber of code.

Excellent communication ability with team members and clients in English.

Motivated to work with and learn a variety technologies and languages 

Experience with Java is highly preferred

Experience with Git and/or Azure DevOps

Experience with SQL Scripting and associated databases preferred

Experience with Azure and/or AWS Cloud platforms is highly preferred

Experience at electric transmission/distribution/generation utilities is preferred.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
