Description

A Senior Industrial Cybersecurity Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based, hybrid, and on-prem solutions while overseeing their maintenance and upkeep. This individual leads the design, implementation, and management of complex cloud-based, hybrid, and on-prem infrastructure and network systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy enterprise and software solutions. Ensuring security and compliance of all systems and network infrastructure, they manage and resolve complex technical issues and mentor and train junior engineers. Additionally, this role involves developing and maintaining software applications and monitoring and analyzing security alerts to prevent data breaches and other security incidents. The Senior Industrial Cybersecurity Cloud Platform Engineer must be available to participate in on-call and shift rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Design, develop and implement cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem solutions.

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure.

  • Develop automation scripts to optimize cloud/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure management.

  • Lead the design, implementation and management of complex cloud-based/Hybrid/on-prem network systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy enterprise and software solutions.

  • Ensure the security and compliance of all cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem systems and network infrastructure.

  • Manage and resolve complex technical issues, including system outages.

  • Lead the development and deployment of new cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem applications.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of cloud/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure and network systems.

  • Mentor and train junior engineers in cloud/hybrid/on-prem architectures, solutions, and network technologies.

  • Manage and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem solutions and infrastructure.

  • Respond to security incidents and provide remediation guidance.

  • Develop, maintain, and test software applications using Python and React in cloud/hybrid/on-prem environments.

  • Develop, implement and maintain security systems and policies to protect the organization’s information and systems from unauthorized access, theft, and damage.

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, assess security threats, and respond to security incidents to prevent data breaches and other security incidents.

  • Participate in shift, night, weekend, holiday schedules and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in technology, business, or a related field from an accredited program is required. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud-based/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure and network systems design, implementation and management, system engineering, or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity systems and policies, vulnerability management, systems hardening, and remediation strongly preferred.

  • Expertise in cloud technologies, automation scripts and infrastructure management.

  • Strong knowledge of security systems and policies and experience in vulnerability management and remediation.

  • Proficient in Python and React software development.

  • Experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Ability to manage complex technical issues and resolve system outages.

  • Ability to design and deploy enterprise and software solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to maintain and document cloud/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure and network systems.

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor and analyze security alerts and assess security threats.

  • Ability to respond to security incidents and provide remediation guidance.

  • Understanding of the unique characteristics and challenges of securing Industrial Control Systems.

  • Ability to lead projects and delegate work tasks to team members. Ability to oversee the execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to work methodically and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building and collaboration.
