Description
An Automation Tester is responsible for automating the testing process using the required tool. He/she develops and implements test plans and cases based on the requirements, then designs creates and maintains the automation scripts. The tester also monitors the execution of the scripts and troubleshoots the issues that arise during the process. In addition, they should also provide documentation and reports of the test results.
Automation Tester JD:
Demonstrable experience working within a Scrum Team
Able to articulate and demonstrate a good understanding of:
Test automation
Test Automation frameworks (Selenium)
C# or JavaScript
Selenium Web Driver, XPath
Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD)
Test Tools (e.g., Spec Flow, Load Runner/J meter)
Page Object Model (Automation Framework)
GIT
Demonstrable experience in using Gherkin language to write Test Scenarios
J meter/Load Runner
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in using two or more software engineering tools, techniques, and methods, in accordance with recognized standards, specifically:
SQL (for example, production of basic scripts to query a relational database)
MS Excel (for example, basic dataset querying and data building)
Has demonstrable experience in using common business technology (for example, MS Office suite of tools) and is able to produce a range of test deliverables in-line with applicable standards with minimal supervision
Qualifications
At least 3yrs of experience working as an Automation Test Analyst within solution integration projects
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Test Analyst Advanced Level Certification
Advanced Automation Test Engineer (ISTQB)
Knowledge of ADO (Azure DevOps) to run automated tests and CI
Knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their technology area
