We’re currently seeking a Utility Analytics Product Manager for Utility Operational Analytics who will be responsible for the vision and solution for electric utility-focused operational analytics. This includes product planning and marketing, business development in the early stages of the offering, prioritizing product deliverables, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the engineering team to deliver winning product solutions. The Utility Analytics Product Manager will work with the technology consulting, marketing, and support personnel to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are attained and the product and marketing efforts support Burns & McDonnell's overall strategy.

  • Is the face of utility operational analytics.

  • Defines the electric utility operational analytics product strategy, build, and maintain a roadmap and provide continuous iterative updates to meet market requirements.

  • Develop technical requirements for products by working with stakeholders (both internal and external) as needed, ensuring that stakeholder and market needs are attained.

  • Work with technical teams to develop and refine the product technical parameters to ensure successful product solutions are delivered.

  • Evaluate external partnerships, marketing, sales, and licensing opportunities.

  • Provide technical and industry expertise with respect to the competition.

  • Develop and present the core positioning and messaging.

  • Compile and present business plans to secure internal and external financing within established risk and financial parameters.

  • Perform product demonstrations to customers in a variety of settings.

  • Research, propose, and assist with product pricing.

  • Develop and implement sales tools and collateral.

  • Develop and present sales briefings and training programs.

  • Present at industry conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, business, or related degree from an accredited program. Minimum of 7 years relevant consulting experience, preferably in the transmission and distribution industry.

  • MBA or ability to achieve preferred.

  • Expert experience in investigating, evaluating, selecting, and driving the development of products for an organization.

  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience having led and completed projects from business proposal through post-production support preferred.

  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information and convey business and technical concepts to a diverse client base and internal technical teams.

  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.

  • Broad knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
