Description

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Project Manager to join the Enterprise Systems (ESI) Business Line within the Technology Consulting Practice of 1898 & Co. ESI Technology Consulting focuses on providing our clients a variety of consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines. We seek a qualified Maximo practitioner to manage Maximo EAM client engagements. The Project Manager of the Enterprise System Integration (ESI) Team shall possess strong Project Management experience and capabilities in delivering Enterprise Solutions, program estimation, planning and executing work with our clients on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must have strong project execution, leadership and collaboration capabilities, and excellent communication skills. The candidate must be focused on continuous project improvement and technology innovation and pay attention to detail.

This position will manage and execute a variety of Enterprise Transformation Programs focused on Maximo solutions through all delivery lifecycle stages of a typical software implementation or upgrade. The role will lead efforts to identify and deliver Maximo EAM solutions to our clients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, industry best practices, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead & identify new sales opportunities with clients; lead all aspects of proposal development and submission including project estimation, planning, and scheduling; establish critical project objectives and performances with clients; lead contract preparation and negotiations.

  • Lead program estimation, planning, budgeting and be accountable for the execution and delivery of the program/project.

  • Adopt, implement, and adjust leading project delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile Methods.

  • Responsible for the successful completion of the project in accordance with the client’s business objectives balancing a budget, scope, quality considerations, and project financial metrics. In addition, supervise, track, and report the overall project status and progress and ensure all scheduled milestones and delivery dates are met.

  • Create various status reports and lead/coordinate status meetings covering schedules, risks, issues, budget vs. actuals, deliverables, and resources.

  • Responsible for all resources assigned to the program; 1898 & Co., client, and 3rd Party Vendors.

  • Ensure the overall quality of the project/program deliverables.

  • Support the completion of project deliverables assigned to the team (onshore and offshore) in accordance with client contracts/agreements.

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all deliverables based on agreed standards and practices.

  • Assist with or lead the business process design to drive out the full set of application requirements: functional, technical, quality, integration, and security.

  • Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs and are within the project scope.

  • Serve as a resource for the human performance architects to identify training and performance support needs, design and develop the training and performance support products.

  • Lead or assist with creating high-level project communications and status reporting to the executive team.

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all project interdependencies internal and external.

  • Use project execution experience and knowledge to provide input and influence project execution processes and quality assurance/quality control protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program is required. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Minimum of 11 years of experience.

  • Minimum experience leading at least 5 EAM enterprise programs for clients.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • PMP Certification, Agile Certification, or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Experience working on digital projects, client operations, or executing program management in the electric utility industry (generation, transmission, or distribution) is preferred.
