Description
The Senior Geospatial Consultant will lead GIS analyses for consulting projects supporting utilities, government organizations, and manufacturing clients. This role will manage the geospatial analyses for consulting projects and new business opportunities. The Senior Geospatial Consultant will review and monitor project scoping, system architecture design, technical demonstrations, and proposal content.
Leads and reviews Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis and data development for client projects while supporting internal and external project teams.
Provides technical leadership for GIS system implementations, configurations, and integrations.
Leads technical specifications, project approaches, project cost estimates, and project schedules for project deliverables.
Leads the implementation of new geospatial software or programs.
Reviews geospatial studies and analyses for accuracy. Presents information to stakeholders.
Presents ad hoc analysis and recommendations to meet or exceed the business goals, quality, billability, and utilization.
Leads the quality review of deliverables prepared by team members to adhere to client and project requirements.
Identifies and addresses client GIS system needs and requirements and implements improved business processes.
Establishes and maintains relationships with business line teams to ensure alignment of scope and schedule, appropriate staffing, financial monitoring, and quality assurance standards in line with contract specifications.
Trains, coaches, and mentors’ staff.
Recommends and integrates GIS strategies that meet the client’s needs.
Collaborates with other internal and external groups to ensure project deliverables are met.
Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, or closely related natural science field. Additional applicable years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
Minimum 14 yrs and experience working in the ArcGIS desktop environment is required (ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 or higher a plus).
Prior GPS and applicable natural science field experience a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge in GIS sales pursuits and developments.
Ability to apply a range of software tools, including models, spreadsheets, and databases, to perform analysis and communicate findings in a compelling way.
Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests.
Excellent GIS skills, including data analysis and domain knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
