1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Solution Consultant to provide digital solution business consulting services for our electric and water utility clients throughout the project lifecycle. The selected candidate will join the Digital PMO business line, which is focused on transforming classic rearward looking PMO's to digitally transformed PMO's which are looking toward the future by employing modern technology and analytics to effectively manage projects.
The Senior Digital Solution Consultant will work closely with 1898 & Co. clients and internal teams to manage adherence standards and develop documentation to support project goals, and ultimately make each client engagement a success. The Senior Digital Solution Consultant will manage client engagements while removing client pain points through advancements in business process improvements and technology advancements. It is critical to be able to communicate with all stakeholders and manage initiatives between internal teams, client teams, and leadership to ensure client requirements are met.
This position must have deep experience in industry leading practices across project management and/or project controls. Additionally, this position will lead assessments, roadmap development, and/or technology implementations to our clients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, and industry leading practices.
Lead client discovery sessions to understand business needs and formulate solutions to create new business processes and digital solutions.
Lead the development of solutions, purpose built for clients that create exponential value and solve business problems.
Work with solution architects and service offering leaders to improve upon and create new offerings to drive value within the markets we serve.
Lead the clients through the project delivery process, communicating with those involved to ensure that expectations are met, and all requirements are completed, and any issues are resolved, resulting in a successful engagement.
Lead and report solution gaps working closely with senior resources to provide impact on future features and functionality of our solutions.
Lead ongoing training to clients on an as-needed basis both remotely and in person.
Lead user documentation when required.
Lead training summaries specific to the client following the training to assist other staff in providing quality customer care.
Prepare and present case studies and white papers for clients and industry publications.
Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.
Participate in sales and marketing efforts and identify critical pursuits.
Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.
As needed, prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates—report project performance.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the practice. Mentor and guide less experienced staff.
Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
Responsible for effective communication with other disciplines.
Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering or related field from an accredited program is preferred. Applicable work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Minimum of 8 years of experience.
Expert knowledge in consulting practices and project delivery techniques and procedures.
Expert computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Experienced with Project Management Information Systems software and technologies (e.g., Oracle Unifier, Trimble eBuilder, Kahua, Hexagon EcoSys).
Familiarity with additional project management software and technologies (e.g., Wrike, PM Web, Monday.com, Sitetracker) is preferred.
Project management and/or project controls experience is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with leading enterprise consulting projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies including but not limed to Waterfall and Agile.
Experience developing executive level technology assessments, roadmap strategies across the project delivery lifecycle for clients in the utilities industry.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, and collaboration.
